Luis Del Valle is a High Senior Professor at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, New Orleans. His research focuses on tumor biology, immunology, and oncology, with a specific emphasis on triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and glioblastoma. His recent work investigates racial disparities in TNBC diagnosis through miRNA-mRNA analyses, the synergistic effects of estrogen and obesity on thrombosis via HIF1α, and mitochondrial dysfunction in glioblastoma, including drug candidates that bypass the blood-brain barrier. He has published extensively in journals such as the Journal of Clinical Investigation and the International Journal of Molecular Sciences.
