Luigi Perelli is an Assistant Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research focuses on tumor biology, cancer genetics, and molecular pathology, with a particular emphasis on pancreatic cancer and SMARCB1-deficient renal medullary carcinoma. His recent work investigates single-cell transcriptomic dynamics driving chemotherapy resistance, targeting mitochondrial complex I to overcome adaptive responses in advanced pancreatic cancer, and KRAS allelic imbalance in NSCLC tumor evolution. He has also explored the epigenetic role of DPY30 in linking replication stress to immunoediting in pancreatic cancer. His publications appear in leading journals, including Cancer Research, Clinical Cancer Research, and the Journal of Clinical Oncology, reflecting his contributions to translational oncology and precision cancer therapeutics.
