Chunru Lin is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her research integrates cell biology, molecular genetics, and immunology to address critical challenges in cancer biology and oncology. Her recent work has uncovered novel mechanisms of therapeutic resistance, including FGFR3-induced PARP1 phosphorylation in breast cancer and single-cell transcriptomic insights into SMARCB1-deficient renal medullary carcinoma. She has also published pioneering studies on how sickle cell disease suppresses anti-tumor immunity via chromatin remodeling and ferroptosis in CD8+ T cells, and she advocates for transparency in AI/ML through biomedical data documentation. Her investigations into ancestral differences in anticancer treatment efficacy highlight her commitment to precision oncology.
