Larry David is a Professor of Chemical Physiology and Biochemistry and Director of the Proteomics Shared Resource at the Oregon Health & Science University Knight Cancer Institute. His research integrates proteomics, protein biochemistry, and cell biology to investigate protein structure, post-translational modifications, and disease mechanisms. Recent breakthroughs include a high-throughput protease-activated nanosensor assay for early pancreatic cancer detection (*Science Translational Medicine*, 2025) and the identification of glutathionylation-induced disulfide bonding in γS-crystallin. His work also spans lens proteomics, mitochondrial regulation by lamins, and tear proteomics for orbital inflammatory disorders.
