Joanne Kwak-Kim is a Senior Professor at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Her research focuses on reproductive immunology, specifically the immune mechanisms underlying recurrent pregnancy loss, repeated implantation failure, and infertility. Recent work investigates the impact of dyslipidemia on endometrial immune dysregulation and natural killer cell cytotoxicity, as well as the role of cytokines like interleukin-22 in pregnancy complications. She co-authored the 2025 American Society for Reproductive Immunology guidelines for treating recurrent pregnancy losses and has published extensively on immunomodulatory therapies and maternal-fetal immune tolerance. Her contributions bridge clinical obstetrics and translational immunology, advancing personalized approaches to women’s reproductive health.
