Krishna Kumar is a Research Professor at Stony Brook University, specializing in experimental particle and nuclear physics, with a focus on neutrinos, radiation detection, and precision electroweak measurements. His recent work includes searches for neutrinoless double-beta decay in 136Xe, dark matter detection via electron recoils in EXO-200, and the application of generative adversarial networks to scintillation signal simulation. He has contributed to precision measurements of the neutral weak form factor of 48Ca and the nucleon F2n/F2p structure function ratio via the Jefferson Lab MARATHON experiment. Kumar leads a major project on precision electroweak and QCD studies with polarized electrons, funded at $2.3 million, and collaborates extensively with institutions across the US, Canada, Germany, South Korea, Russia, China, France, Switzerland, Italy, and Ukraine.
