Kristin G. Cloyes is a Senior Professor at Oregon Health & Science University. Her research focuses on palliative and end-of-life care, hospice nursing, and the social support networks of cancer survivors and their caregivers, with recent work addressing health disparities among LGBTQ+ and transgender or gender diverse populations. Her latest publications examine behavior change interventions for frontotemporal dementia family care partners, neurodivergence among nurses, and the concordance between expected and received social support in cancer care dyads. She also investigates postpartum health behaviors and weight among women with pre-pregnancy overweight or obesity, and the independent effects of cancer patient symptoms on caregiver sleep and mood. Her work integrates nursing, oncology, geriatrics, and public health perspectives to improve caregiving outcomes across chronic and serious illness trajectories.
