Koei Chin

Koei Chin is a Senior Professor at Oregon Health & Science University. His research integrates cancer biology, molecular oncology, and tumor pathology, with a focus on breast and pancreatic cancers. His recent work employs serial spatial transcriptomics to map divergent routes to therapy resistance in metastatic breast cancer and highly multiplexed imaging to identify prognostic immune and stromal spatial biomarkers. He has also elucidated MYC serine 62 phosphorylation’s role in DNA double-strand break repair and survival under genotoxic stress, and explored PIN1’s effects on fibroblast differentiation in pancreatic cancer. His findings have appeared in Nature Cancer, Genes & Development, and Cancer Research.
