Klodian Dhana is a Senior Professor at Rush University. His research focuses on the epidemiology of aging, specifically investigating the roles of diet, adiposity, and the microbiome in cognitive decline and Alzheimer's disease. Recent work includes the MIND dietary intervention trials, examining its effects on cognition across Alzheimer's biomarker levels and metabolic improvements, alongside studies on social isolation, APOE4, and blood neurodegenerative biomarkers. His research also extends to life expectancy projections with and without cardiovascular disease and functional impairments in aging populations.
