Kim-Anh Do is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her research integrates biostatistics and data science with cancer biology, focusing on early cancer detection, molecular diagnostics, and tumor biology. Her recent work includes developing digital twin frameworks for healthcare, identifying blood-based protein biomarkers for pancreatic cancer detection, and elucidating the role of ADAMs in triple-negative breast cancer via the mTORC1 pathway. She has also pioneered novel feature selection methods, such as SMAGS-LASSO, to maximize sensitivity in early cancer detection, and contributed to stratifying malignant risk in intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms through cyst fluid protein analysis. Her collaborative, cross-species studies have uncovered actionable metabolic vulnerabilities in pancreatic cancers, advancing precision oncology.
