Kevin Wang is a High Senior Professor at Morehouse School of Medicine. His research focuses on traumatic brain injury (TBI), neurotrauma biomarkers, neuroimaging, and neurorehabilitation, with particular emphasis on head trauma rehabilitation and neuroradiology. His recent work includes the BRAIN-CT trial protocol for biomarker-guided imaging in mild cranial trauma, blood biomarkers for epidural hematoma identification in mild TBI patients, and studies on VEGF-A levels and serum biomarker trajectory clusters predicting functional outcomes. He also investigates nanoparticle-induced brain injury and tau oligomer effects on brain endothelial permeability. Notably, he received a $740,172 award for developing handheld dried-plasma biosampling lateral flow technology for TBI diagnostics, and collaborates internationally through the CENTER-TBI and TRACK-TBI initiatives.
