Ken-Pin Hwang is an Associate Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he specializes in medical imaging and radiation oncology. His research focuses on advanced magnetic resonance imaging techniques, including SyntheticMR and zero-echo-time MRI, for cancer diagnosis and treatment response prediction. He has pioneered the technical development of 3D-QALAS and SyntheticMR on MR-Linac systems for adaptive radiation therapy in brain and head-and-neck cancers. His recent work applies radiomic and multiparametric MRI features to predict treatment responses in soft tissue sarcomas, breast cancer, and metastatic screening, while also investigating the effects of space flight on lumbar spine degeneration.
