Kelly Bree is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her research focuses on urologic oncology, specifically bladder cancer, genitourinary malignancies, and surgical outcomes. She leads the CAMUS Collaborative, an international multicenter analysis of perioperative complications following major urologic oncologic surgery, encompassing over 130,000 procedures. Her recent work examines germline mutations in urothelial cancer, cost-effectiveness of bladder-sparing therapies for BCG-unresponsive carcinoma in situ, and prognostic outcomes comparing radical cystectomy versus primary BCG therapy in very-high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer. She also investigates novel combinations such as radiotherapy with enfortumab vedotin for locally advanced disease, incorporating translational ctDNA and utDNA biomarkers, and advocates for patient-reported outcomes as clinical trial endpoints.
