Katrina Ramsey is a Senior Professor at Oregon Health & Science University, where her research bridges pediatrics, primary care, and diabetes management. Her recent work includes evaluating emollients for pediatric eczema prevention (JAMA Dermatology, 2025), testing prediction-based bedtime interventions to reduce nocturnal hypoglycemia in type 1 diabetes (Diabetes Care, 2025), and assessing real-world automated insulin delivery systems with AI-based meal detection for fully automated closed-loop therapy. She also investigates health systems and care delivery, leading cluster-randomized trials on team-based versus individual clinician training for serious illness conversations and advance care planning in primary care networks, alongside studies on insurance type and healthcare use in adults with congenital heart disease. Her research integrates clinical innovation with public health and health services research.
