Karin Meeker is a Senior Professor at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Her research focuses on the neuroscience of aging, with specific emphasis on Alzheimer’s disease biomarkers, neuroimaging, and cognitive impairment in diverse populations. Her recent work characterizes plasma AT(N) biomarkers and tau-PET cut-points in multi-ethnoracial cohorts, examines clinical-biological Alzheimer’s disease stage concordance using autopsy data, and estimates the prevalence of underdiagnosed dementia in community-based studies. She leads the Health and Aging Brain Study–Health Disparities (HABS-HD), investigating structural MRI markers and rates of clinical progression across biological disease stages.
