Justin P. Whalley is an Assistant Professor at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. His research integrates immunology, molecular biology, and genetics to investigate inflammation, immune responses, and cancer biology. Recent work includes proteomic endotyping of pleural infection and sepsis, revealing diverse neutrophilic responses and patient-specific plasma signatures. He also studies the yeast homolog of the juvenile Batten disease gene CLN3, employing TOR-dependent regulation to gain functional insights. His publications span high-impact venues including Science Translational Medicine, European Respiratory Journal, and The Journal of Immunology, with collaborative studies on aged brain multi-omics and SARS-CoV-2-induced pro-inflammatory transcriptional profiles.
