Julianne M. Pollard-Larkin is a Senior Professor and Physics Section Chief of Thoracic Service at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her research focuses on radiation therapy planning, thoracic stereotactic body radiation therapy, and medical physics, with recent work examining reduced computed tomography scan speed to improve alignment errors, safety of contemporary radiation therapy in patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices, and deep-learning-based automatic contour quality assurance. She has also investigated MLC delivery error detection via IROC phantoms and AI-powered radiotherapy for resource-limited settings. Her publications appear in Cancers, Physics in Medicine and Biology, and the Journal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, and she has contributed to gender diversity benchmarking in medical physics.
