Joseph E. Aslan is a Senior Professor at Oregon Health & Science University, where he investigates thrombosis, platelet biology, and hemostasis. His research integrates cell signaling, vascular biology, and pharmacology to elucidate platelet activation mechanisms and procoagulant phenotypes. Recent work explores thrombogenic microenvironments in transcatheter aortic valve replacement, lipopolysaccharide-mediated coagulation factor XII activation, and platelet proteomics standardization. He has contributed to studies on amniotic fluid procoagulant activity, ABL1 kinase inhibitors for chronic myeloid leukemia, and injury-associated anemia. His collaborative efforts span international hematology initiatives, advancing translational understanding of platelet function in health and disease.
