Jinsong Liu, M.D., Ph.D., M.A.

Jinsong Liu, M.D., Ph.D., M.A., is a Professor with Tenure and Director at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research focuses on ovarian epithelial carcinogenesis, ovarian cancer metastasis, and the biology of polyploid giant cancer cells (PGCCs). Recent breakthroughs include a phase Ib trial combining copanlisib with niraparib for recurrent ovarian and endometrial cancer, and translational results from a phase 2 trial of pembrolizumab plus chemotherapy in frontline advanced ovarian cancer. He has also contributed to diagnostic pathology through comparative analyses of TRPS1 antibodies in breast and ovarian serous carcinomas. His work integrates homologous recombination deficiency assessment with chemotherapy response scoring in interval tumor reductive surgery.
