Jin Seon Im is an Assistant Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her research focuses on clinical transplantation medicine, specifically optimizing allogeneic stem cell transplantation for hematologic malignancies, including acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes. Her recent work explores adoptive cellular therapy using off-the-shelf, HLA-matched third-party viral-specific T cells for adenovirus infections in immunocompromised patients, as well as cord blood-derived invariant natural killer T (iNKT) cells as a platform for allogeneic CAR T-cell therapy. She also investigates disparities in allograft access and the optimization of complex hematologic care for patients with disabilities.
