Jessica Stern is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Pomona College. Her research integrates developmental psychology, attachment theory, and developmental psychopathology to examine social-emotional development from early childhood through adolescence. Her recent work investigates how adolescent empathy predicts neural responses to social rejection, the link between climate emotions and mental health, and the development of caregiving representations and moral cognition in children. She has also explored attachment security’s role in emotion regulation during middle childhood. Her publications appear in leading journals such as *Development and Psychopathology*, *Attachment & Human Development*, and the *Journal of Experimental Child Psychology*.
