Jeffrey T. Chang is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research focuses on the tumor microenvironment, cancer biology, and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer, particularly triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). Recent breakthroughs include identifying transcriptional activity in the tumor microenvironment that stratifies chemotherapy response, and demonstrating nerve-to-cancer intercellular transfer of mitochondria during metastasis. His work also explores mitochondrial ROS regulation by C15ORF48 in chemotherapy resistance and immune activation as a predictor of neoadjuvant therapy response. Chang has published in Nature, Science Advances, and Nature Communications, with collaborations advancing translational oncology and precision cancer treatment.
