Jeffrey N. Myers is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research focuses on tumor biology, molecular cancer, and radiation oncology, with a specific emphasis on head and neck cancer pathogenesis, the tumor microenvironment, and mechanisms of acquired therapeutic resistance. His recent work includes pioneering multimodal spatial transcriptomics to identify bacterial niches in oral cancer development, as well as investigating cancer-induced nerve injury and its role in resistance to anti-PD-1 therapy. He has also contributed to international consensus definitions for osteoradionecrosis of the jaw and multidisciplinary treatment paradigms for head and neck cancer. His collaborative research spans translational medicine and immunotherapy resistance mechanisms.
