Jeffrey Carter

Jeffrey Carter is a Senior Professor at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, New Orleans. His research focuses on burn management, wound healing, regenerative medicine, and critical care, with particular emphasis on skin substitute applications, autografting for major burns, and the metabolic and endothelial responses to burn injury. His recent work includes studies on C-reactive protein trends following skin substitutes, compassionate use of skin cell suspension autografts, and the regulatory landscape of amnion and cellular tissue products. He has also contributed to burn nursing history, mass casualty preparedness, and patient safety initiatives.
