Jeff Kaye is a Senior Professor at Oregon Health & Science University. His research focuses on the neuroscience of aging, with specific interests in Alzheimer's disease, preclinical cognitive impairment, and dementia onset. His recent work investigates sex differences in longitudinal tau-PET imaging in preclinical Alzheimer disease, the association between cardiometabolic multimorbidity and dementia onset across racial/ethnic groups, and the development of reference curves for brain atrophy. He also explores environmental risk factors, including estimating daily air quality exposure for aging populations, and examines pain, depression, and functional outcomes in older adults using cannabis or opioid analgesics. His research integrates geriatrics, neurology, and public health to advance understanding of dementia and healthy aging.
