Iccha Basnyat

Iccha Basnyat is an Associate Professor of Global Health Communication at George Mason University. Her research examines the intersections of health communication, feminist theory, and gender studies, with a focus on marginalized populations. Her recent work explores mental health help-seeking among immigrants, the management of sex work information via mobile phones among female sex workers in Nepal, and internal crisis communication during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her scholarship has appeared in journals such as *Health Communication* and the *Journal of Public Relations Research*. She has collaborated with institutions across the US, Singapore, China, and Nepal.
