Huamin Wang is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research focuses on pancreatic cancer biology, with particular emphasis on KRAS-mutant oncogenic signaling, tumor microenvironment dynamics, and therapeutic resistance mechanisms. His recent work has identified actionable CD24 "do not eat me" signals activated by KRAS inhibition, characterized TREM2 depletion-induced pathogenic inflammation via IL-1β+ macrophage enrichment, and developed the CROCHET pipeline for single-cell spatialomic analysis. He has contributed to international consensus guidelines on ampullary neoplasms and pioneered liquid biopsy approaches for KRAS mutation detection in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. His research integrates immunology, cell biology, and pathology to advance targeted therapeutic strategies for gastrointestinal malignancies.
