Howard M. Kravitz is a Senior Professor at Rush University, where his research integrates psychiatry, epidemiology, and public health to advance the understanding of midlife women’s health. His work focuses on the longitudinal relationships between sleep timing and regularity, physical activity patterns, and cognitive performance in women transitioning to late adulthood, as well as the links between cardiovascular health, race, and cognitive decline. Recent publications examine sleep disturbance in postmenopausal women with polycystic ovary syndrome, sleep health and anxiety symptoms, and the impact of air pollution on adipokines, all using data from the Study of Women’s Health Across the Nation (SWAN). His contributions span women’s studies, mental health, and sleep science, with findings published in SLEEP, Preventive Medicine, and the Journal of the American Heart Association.
