Heath R. Pardoe is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology at New York University Grossman School of Medicine. His research focuses on neuroimaging and computational approaches to epilepsy, particularly the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to MRI and PET data. His recent work has introduced AI-based methods for redefining diagnostic lesional status in temporal lobe epilepsy, automated detection of bottom-of-sulcus dysplasia in drug-resistant focal epilepsy, and the investigation of gray and white matter changes across the adult lifespan in epilepsy patients. He also studies network interactions during reading and visual processing, and the responsible use of AI in clinical medicine. Pardoe has led a funded project on post-surgical resection mapping in epilepsy using convolutional neural networks and collaborates extensively across over 30 international institutions, including the Florey Institute in Australia, University College London, and McGill University.
