Hassan Ebrahim is a Senior Professor at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. His research focuses on breast and colorectal cancer pharmacology, anti-cancer agents, and therapeutic targets, with a specialization in natural product-derived compounds. His recent work has identified olive oil phenolics, including S-(-)-oleocanthal and (-)-oleuropein, as suppressors of colorectal and prostate cancer progression and recurrence by modulating pathways such as SMYD2-EZH2, c-MET, and PCSK9-LDLR. He has also developed novel pyrazolone compounds with antiproliferative activity against colorectal cancer and explored synergistic effects of abietic acid with doxorubicin. His publications appear in journals including ChemMedChem, Nutrients, Scientific Reports, and Cancers.
