Grace E. Stutzmann is a Professor and Discipline Chair of Neuroscience at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, where she also directs the Center for Neurodegenerative Disease and Therapeutics. Her research focuses on molecular neurodegeneration, particularly Alzheimer’s disease, aging, and cellular physiology, including ER-calcium dysregulation, mitochondrial dysfunction, and ryanodine receptor-mediated autophagy. Recent work explores maternal choline supplementation in Down syndrome–Alzheimer’s mouse models and hippocampal gene expression mosaics. She has received major funding for investigating synaptic deficits common to traumatic brain injury and Alzheimer’s disease.
