Gloria Manney is a High Senior Professor at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. Her research focuses on atmospheric science, atmospheric chemistry, and climate change, with particular emphasis on stratospheric dynamics and ozone recovery. Her latest work includes fingerprinting the recovery of Antarctic ozone (Nature, 2025) and analyzing trends in lower stratospheric Antarctic vortex ozone over the past two decades (2026). She also investigates mixing barrier strength using ACE-FTS data and the role of stratospheric state in upward wave flux prior to Sudden Stratospheric Warmings (Weather and Climate Dynamics, 2026). Manney has contributed to the Aura MLS Product Generation Software and Averaging Kernel files (Zenodo, 2026), supporting satellite-based atmospheric monitoring. Her research integrates observational datasets with chemistry-climate models to advance understanding of polar ozone dynamics and stratospheric processes.
