Giovanna Oriti

Giovanna Oriti is a Senior Professor at the Naval Postgraduate School. Her research focuses on electrical engineering and energy systems, with specific interests in dc microgrids, power electronics, and smart grid power delivery. Her latest work includes novel single-phase and CLLC converter designs to reduce common mode conducted EMI, SiC four-leg inverters for motor drive systems, and decentralized controllers for zonal nanogrid building blocks. She has also contributed to digital twin research, developing low-cost testbeds for microgrid technology transition, with publications in IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications and the Journal of Computing and Information Science in Engineering.
