Fredrick B. Hagemeister is a Clinical Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he specializes in hematological malignancies, particularly lymphoid neoplasia. His research focuses on novel immunotherapeutic combinations for B-cell lymphomas, including BTK inhibitors with checkpoint blockade, and the curability potential of low-grade follicular lymphoma. His recent phase 2 trials have evaluated ibrutinib with nivolumab in relapsed CNS lymphomas and obinutuzumab with lenalidomide in untreated high-tumor-burden follicular lymphoma, both published in Blood Advances (2025). He has also investigated retreatment outcomes in late-relapse diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and prognostic biomarkers such as MYC/BCL2 double expression. His work integrates oncology, immunology, and radiation oncology to advance treatment paradigms for indolent and aggressive lymphomas.
