Frederick F. Lang is a Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research focuses on the tumor biology of diffuse gliomas, glioblastoma stem cells, and the tumor microenvironment. Lang's recent work employs integrated single-cell spatial multi-omics to map metabolic regulators of glioma plasticity and proliferation across WHO grades 2–4. He also investigates immunotherapeutic strategies, including IL-21-enhanced NK cells targeting glioblastoma stem cells and oncolytic adenovirus (Delta-24-RGD) trials, alongside studies of microbial signals in brain tumors and systemic immune correlates of long-term survival.
