Dr. Brian Druker is a Senior Professor at Oregon Health & Science University, where he conducts pioneering research in hematology and oncology. His work focuses on hematological malignancies, particularly leukemia, with specific interests in oncogenes, myeloid neoplasia, and the molecular mechanisms driving drug resistance. His latest publications explore novel therapeutic combinations, including azacitidine, venetoclax, and revumenib for NPM1-mutated or KMT2A-rearranged acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and a CEBPB/IL-1β/TNF-α feedback loop mediating resistance to venetoclax and MDM2 inhibitors in monocytic leukemia. He also leads molecular characterization efforts in older AML patients through the Beat AML trial and investigates TP-0903 with decitabine for TP53-mutant disease. His contributions have significantly advanced targeted cancer therapies and precision medicine in leukemia.
