Donna M. Weber, M.D., is a Professor of Medicine at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she specializes in hematological malignancies, particularly multiple myeloma and AL amyloidosis. Her research focuses on novel immunotherapies, including CAR T-cell therapy (idecabtagene vicleucel), autologous stem cell transplantation outcomes, and the impact of genetic ancestry, renal function, and social determinants of health on treatment efficacy and toxicity. Recent publications in *Blood Cancer Journal* and *Cell Reports Medicine* explore genetic ancestry’s role in CAR T-cell response, single-cell analysis of neoplastic plasma cells, and gut microbiome correlates of therapy outcomes. A high senior professor, she leads clinical trials integrating daratumumab and ixazomib, advancing precision medicine in plasma cell disorders.
