Donald F. Conrad is an Associate Professor at Oregon Health & Science University. His research integrates human genetics, reproductive biology, and genomics to dissect the molecular architecture of infertility, particularly focusing on the genetic and epigenetic underpinnings of spermatogenesis and male reproductive failure. His recent work has identified novel variants and genes implicated in male infertility, including a missense variant in TUBA3C and pathogenic variants in GJB2, and has characterized the role of CCDC89 in sperm motility. He also leads comparative genomics efforts, such as the non-human primate developmental GTEx project and population-level analyses of the United States marmoset, to illuminate conserved reproductive mechanisms and genetic comorbidities across species.
