Don Gibbons is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where his research focuses on thoracic oncology, lung cancer biology, and cancer immunotherapy. His recent work employs spatial single-cell profiling and multimodal data integration to investigate lung adenocarcinoma neoplastic evolution, including the roles of tsMHC-I downregulation, neutrophil extracellular traps, and carcinogen exposure in tumor progression. He has also explored FOXM1-specific TCR-engineered T cells for non-small cell lung cancer and the differential effects of KEAP1 and STK11 mutations in KRAS-mutant NSCLC treated with immunotherapy. His publications appear in venues such as Cancer Research, Advanced Science, and the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
