David S. Hage is a High Senior Professor at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. His research integrates analytical chemistry, biochemistry, and clinical pharmacology, specializing in high-performance affinity chromatography and clinical drug analysis. Recent work includes developing affinity microcolumns to map multisite drug binding with human serum albumin, particularly examining glycation effects on thiazolidinediones, and advancing two-dimensional Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry for glycopeptide analysis. He also explores chromatographic methods in metabolomics and solution-phase biomolecular interaction analysis. His extensive international collaborations span institutions in Germany, Sweden, India, Canada, Hungary, Ireland, Mexico, and the Netherlands, alongside partnerships with Johns Hopkins University and Texas Tech University.
