David Hong is a High Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he specializes in oncology, cancer pharmacology, and clinical research. His research focuses on developing novel targeted therapies and immunotherapies for advanced solid tumors, with particular emphasis on RAS-mutant cancers, including pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and non-small-cell lung cancer. His recent work has investigated RAS(ON) multi-selective tri-complex inhibitors, KRAS G12D-selective agents, and molecular determinants of sotorasib efficacy, alongside circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) as a predictive biomarker. He has also contributed to studies on TRK fusion gastrointestinal cancers and NLRP3 agonists in combination with checkpoint inhibitors. His publications appear in Nature Medicine, Journal of Clinical Oncology, and npj Precision Oncology, reflecting his leadership in early-phase clinical trials and translational cancer research.
