Danielle E Hammond is an Assistant Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her research focuses on hematological malignancies, particularly acute myeloid leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, and chronic myelomonocytic leukemia. Her recent work includes optimizing frontline regimens for Philadelphia chromosome-negative acute lymphoblastic leukemia through propensity-score analyses, evaluating allogeneic stem cell transplantation outcomes in higher-risk myelodysplastic syndromes, and developing the BLAST survival model for chronic myelomonocytic leukemia. She investigates mechanisms of therapy resistance, including Menin inhibitor resistance in AML and combination strategies with BET and BRG1/BRM inhibitors, alongside molecular prognostic scoring systems in hypomethylating agent-treated neoplasms.
