Daniel Cleary is a Senior Professor at Oregon Health & Science University. His research integrates neuroscience, neurosurgery, and neural engineering, focusing on neurophysiology, neuroimaging, and computational neuroscience. His recent work explores intracranial oscillatory and aperiodic neural representations of emotion, electrophysiology of gliomas, and novel sensing deep brain stimulation for neuropathic facial pain. He has developed a scalable fishbone nanowire array for 3D quasi-intracellular recording and an electrocorticography microdisplay for intraoperative brain mapping. His publications span leading journals in oncology, advanced materials, and neurosurgery, reflecting his contributions to neuromodulation and brain-machine interfaces.
