Constance Albarracin is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her research focuses on breast oncology, tumor biology, and molecular cancer genetics, with particular emphasis on oncogenes, cancer genetics, and the pathological characterization of breast carcinomas. Her recent work includes investigating PARP inhibitor resistance mechanisms in BRCA1/2-mutant metastatic breast cancer, targeting androgen receptor signaling via microRNA let-7b-5p for hormone receptor-negative disease prevention, and evaluating clinical outcomes in germline BRCA mutation carriers. She has also explored HER2-low status associations with overall survival, systemic therapy in adenoid cystic carcinoma, and the impact of ARID1A and GATA3 mutations in metastatic ER-positive/HER2-negative tumors. Her publications appear in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, npj Breast Cancer, Cancers, and Clinical Cancer Research.
