Christopher Gaiteri, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at Rush University. His research integrates systems biology, genetics, and cognitive neuroscience to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease and other age-related neurodegenerative conditions. His recent work includes proteomic profiling to identify biomarker panels for cerebral small-vessel disease (Nature Aging), multi-stage graph attention networks for interpretable Alzheimer’s classification from genome-wide data, and studies on tau seed propagation via individual-specific brain connectivity (Neuron). He also investigates structural variants linked to Alzheimer’s and paired neuroimaging-transcriptomics to reveal region-specific molecular correlates of brain structure.
