Chris Clark is a High Senior Professor at Harvey Mudd College. His research integrates environmental science, forest ecology, and agricultural economics, with a focus on biogeochemical cycles and ecosystem responses to global change. His recent work examines riverine phosphorus dynamics across the conterminous United States, the environmental sustainability of enhanced-efficiency fertilizers, and the impacts of atmospheric nitrogen deposition on plant species richness across bedrock types. He has also contributed to global assessments of terrestrial nitrogen fixation and land cover change, with publications in Nature, Ecosphere, and PLoS ONE. His research spans national and international collaborations, including comparative studies in the United States and Czechia.
