Cesar Moran is a Senior Professor of Pathology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he specializes in thoracic and surgical pathology. His research focuses on the histopathological and molecular characterization of lung cancer, including pulmonary sarcomatoid carcinoma and uncommon spindle cell tumors of the pleura. He has recently investigated resistance mechanisms to HER2-directed antibody-drug conjugates in HER2-mutant non-small cell lung cancer, as well as the morphological correlation of pulmonary fungal infections with CT and PET imaging. His work integrates tumor biology, anatomical pathology, and cancer research to advance diagnostic precision and therapeutic insights in thoracic oncology.
