Carol C. Wu is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her research focuses on thoracic radiology, specifically integrating multimodal imaging with artificial intelligence to advance lung cancer diagnosis and treatment. Her recent work includes developing OncoTwin, a multimodal digital twin framework for predicting treatment response in ALK-rearranged non-small-cell lung cancer, and applying machine learning to adapt immunotherapy in metastatic NSCLC. She has also contributed to the evolution of radiology image annotation using large language models, automated natural language processing for detecting venous thromboembolism from imaging reports, and lung cancer risk prediction models for persistent pulmonary nodules. Her publications appear in venues such as Nature Communications, Radiology Artificial Intelligence, and Cancer Research.
