Brian J. Druker, M.D., is a Professor at Oregon Health & Science University, where he holds the title of Senior Professor. A physician-scientist and leader in hematology and oncology, his research focuses on hematological malignancies, including leukemia, myeloid neoplasia, and oncogene-driven cancer biology. His latest work centers on targeted therapies for acute myeloid leukemia (AML), particularly menin inhibitors and venetoclax-based combinations, as well as drug resistance mechanisms in monocytic leukemia. Recent publications include a phase 1 trial of ruxolitinib plus venetoclax in relapsed/refractory AML (2026) and a study of azacitidine, venetoclax, and revumenib in newly diagnosed NPM1-mutated or KMT2A-rearranged AML (2025). He is internationally recognized for pioneering tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) in chronic myeloid leukemia, with a 2025 Blood series reflecting on a quarter century of TKI therapy.
