Bingnan Zhang is an Assistant Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research focuses on thoracic oncology, specifically the biology and immunotherapy of small cell lung cancer (SCLC), including mechanisms of treatment resistance and intracranial disease control. Recent work includes real-world evaluations of tarlatamab in relapsed extensive-stage SCLC and EGFR-mutant transformed SCLC, CyTOF-based profiling of circulating tumor cells for personalized liquid biopsies, and lung cancer risk prediction using the Brock and Sybil models. He also investigates perioperative biomarkers, such as insulin-like growth factor-1, linking sleep disturbance to postoperative delirium in older adults. His translational research integrates immunology, pathology, and radiation oncology to advance precision cancer treatment.
